The Mission of the Whidbey Young Professionals (WYP) is to create networking, educational, and volunteer opportunities for young professionals on Whidbey Island. The Whidbey Young Professionals announced its launch in January of 2021. Due to the support and confidence from leadership within the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce, the Young Professionals have a goal to enhance our community by collecting and creating resilient Young Professionals and giving back to the local Whidbey Island Community. The Mission of the Whidbey Young Professionals (WYP) is to create networking, educational, and volunteer opportunities for young professionals on Whidbey Island. The WYP hopes to become a household name and act as an inspiration for positive change and to attract and cultivate future leaders to the greater Whidbey Island community.

In addition to planning social networking and educational opportunities, the WYP would like to give back to our local Whidbey Island community through service projects and volunteer opportunities throughout the year with local nonprofits in the area.

We are actively seeking young professionals in our area to join us!

If you have enthusiastic, motivated professionals in your business looking to get more involved in the community, we invite them to join us at our next meeting! The WYP meets each Friday at various local businesses in the community! There is a networking luncheon on the First and Third Friday of each month at 12 pm, and casual Happy Hours on the second and fourth Friday. There is typically a guest speaker from the community at least once per month!

You can find more information about upcoming meetings on the events calendar or on the Whidbey Young Professionals Facebook Page. Please feel free to reach out to Emily Klinga at whidbeyyoungpros@gmail.com for more information!
